Carbon steel heat exchanger channel heads exposed to salt water developed pitting over the years to a point where metal loss became a concern.
A three-coat system of ARCORâ„¢ S-16 was installed to protect the substrate from the salt water.
After abrasive blasting ARCORâ„¢ S-16 was installed in three successive coats of White, Fuschia and Blue at 15 mils each for a total dry film thickness of 45 mils.
