Rotary Vacuum Filter
Case History #010 REV.04-97
LOCATION: Process equipment rebuilding facility, eastern Pennsylvania
This Rotary Vacuum Filter – being overhauled for a manufacturing facility in South America – needed to be coated to stop aggressive chemical attack.
Depending on the type of chemical environment, a number of ARCOR™ coatings could be installed. In this case, after abrasive-blasting, a base coat of Arcor™ S-30 white was spray-applied followed by ARCOR™ TS-RB installed over the weld seams. A top coat of Arcor™ S-30 Blue was added to bring the total dry film thickness up to 35-40 mils. Spray-applying the Arcor™ epoxies saves much time over hand applications and leaves a smooth, high-gloss finish.
This unit was shipped to its owner and installed in early 1993. To date, this filter is still in operation and the coating system continues to protect the substrate.
