Case History #005 REV.04-97
LOCATION: Chemical manufacturing plant, U.S.A.
ARCOR™ TS-RB, ARCOR™ S-20
A concrete secondary-containment area for liquid Cyanide was in need of repair due to splash and spill erosion. Seams in the concrete required attention as well as the joint between the floor and the walls.
This area was high-pressure washed, cleaned with TSP (Trisodium Phosphate), and high-pressure washed again. After thoroughly drying the concrete, ARCOR™ TS-RB was installed into the floor seams and applied as a filler at the floor/wall joint.
Two coats of ARCOR™ S-20 were installed to protect the concrete from the concentrated Cyanide liquid. After application of the second coat of ARCOR™ S-20, a coarse blast aggregate was lightly dispersed over the floor to provide a non-slip surface.
This project was completed in April 1991 and has not required repair.
Repair of joints with ARCOR TS-RB.
After application of ARCOR S-20.
Finished floor with non-slip surface.
